Hi Everyone, Im so sorry its been a while since Ive updated you on what Ive been up to...Ive been too busy! But thats no excuse, so expect lots of updates in the coming weeks!

Today I'd like to share a few images of Gaz & Gem's beautiful little baby girl, Lizzy.

Gaz & Gem have joined the Sal Norris Photography Baby club which includes 3 On location shoots in 12 months. These can be a maternity shoot just before baby arrives, a newborn and a 12 month shoot, or alternatively a newborn, 6 month and 12 month shoot, whatever suits you best.

I love photographing babies, all the tiny details that change so quickly...so here's a few of Lizzy

Hargate Hall, Buxton, Aileen & David's Wonderful Wedding, Sal Norris Photography, Chester Wedding Photographer

On Saturday, Hargate Hall near Buxton in the Peak District was the location for the original and inspiring wedding of Aileen & David (who you may recall from my pre wedding shoot blog post a few months back)

Aileen & David are a creative, fun and sincere couple and carried these themes through every minute and every part of a simply beautiful day.



A colour scheme of burnt orange and yellow flowed through the Hall in trailing Organza and stunning roses. A confident and vibrant choice that made for a breathtaking bouquet.



Aileen carried an elegance and beauty that I had noticed and then heard so many of the guests comment on, looking almost etherial, so graceful and feminine, just stunning!


Of course, a lady like this required a dapper Groom and David more than fitted the bill in a Tailored Charcoal suit with a Rose & Cala Lilly buttonhole.



Chocolate Orange and Lemon Cupcakes decorated with butterflies and glitter were a hit with all the guests...I had my eye on the top one though!!!


I know that Aileen & David have a very happy life ahead of them, Congratulations and thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day x

Tara & Dan's Wonderful Wedding at Rowton Hall, Sal Norris Photography, Chester Wedding Photographer

On Friday I had the pleasure of photographing the Wedding Day of Tara & Dan from Tattenhall. The couple had chosen Rowton Hall for a Civil Ceremony & Reception so the day flowed beautifully straight into the evening reception.


The bedrooms at Rowton Hall are beautiful since their refurbishment and made a lovely backdrop for the bridal preparation shots. The bride held a stunning bouquet of fabulous cream roses.


It was tails for the men who looked really smart and the groom accessorized with some great cufflinks that I couldnt resist a shot of!


Tara & Dan are a wonderful couple and their happiness in becoming Husband & Wife was clear for all the see.

Sweet 16 Product Launch-Models Required!

Im sure you've seen the MTV Show-Sweet 16, where UK and US Teens have flash parties to celebrate their 16th Birthday. Stars, DJ's, Designer Dresses and fabulous pictures of them on the walls are all part of it!

Im launching a new Sweet 16 photography package and Im looking for a female or male model aged 15 or 16 to be the face of it. See below for more details...

Could you be the Face of Sal Norris Photography Sweet 16?
All you need to do to have a chance of being the model for this product is join the Sal Norris Photography Facebook Event, then upload a clear picture of you before midnight on 31st May 2010. The winning model will be announced on the Sal Norris Photography Fan Page on Sat 15th June 2010.

The Model will need to be available between 9am and 3pm on Saturday 24th July 2010 and a parent or guardian must accompany them. The shoot will take place in Chester, UK. The Model will receive a disc of 20 images from the day, with full copyright as a thanks for taking part. A model release form must be signed by the model and parent/guardian.


Sweet 16 Photography Package Details: Available to anyone aged 15 or 16. Enjoy a 2 Hour on location photo shoot where you can change outfits, location etc and then choose your 10 favourite images which are provided on disc with copyright for your unlimited use. Just like on MTV you can use them on invites, flyers, posters or projector screens! Price £190.

Sunshine & New Ideas!

I dont know about you, but this delicious sunny weather has given me a wonderful boost. I feel energized and fresh and so have been playing around with new ideas.

Ive recently entered a photographic competition that judges, amongst other things, texture added to portraiture of children.

So.... I thought I would share with you a few of those images.


Photographing children is such a pleasure. Although its hard work, I often find myself smiling all the way through the shoot and its a wonderful pleasure to provide parents with timeless images to grace their homes.

Rain on your wedding day isnt the end of the world! Sal Norris Photography, Chester Wedding Photographer

On Saturday it was a special day for a lovely couple, Alan & Mags, who celebrated their Wedding in Tarporley, Cheshire and chose Sal Norris Photography to capture their day.


Rain in March doesnt come as a shock and it certainly didn't dampen our spirits. Mags has a fabulous smile and it lit up the dullest of days.


Mags originates from Zimbabwe and the colours, dancing and joyous celebration that her family and friends brought to the day were a fantastic experience for me.

The 2010 Wedding Season begins...

The 2010 Wedding Season is now well under way for me with the first of this years Pre-Wedding Shoots.

Last week I had the pleasure of taking Aileen & David out on location in Manchester for a casual shoot ahead of their upcoming Wedding in May.

A Pre-Wedding shoot is included as a complimentary part of all of my Wedding Packages. Its a great way for the Bride & Groom to get used to being photographed professionally ahead of their Big Day and also allows us to get to know each other which is just fab.


We had a fantastic day. It was fun and relaxed and we even topped things off with lunch at a quaint little Italian restaurant that we found right around the corner!



I think its great to get out to unusual and funky locations and Castlefield provided the perfect place.



The Bride & Groom choose their favourite image from the Pre-Wedding shoot, which I wide mount and frame for guests to sign around on the Wedding Day. It makes a lovely alternative to a guest book!
