This post is about a fairytale couple, Rachel & Shaun and their beautiful and very special fairytale Wedding.
A Wedding that was 10 years in the making and 2 years in the planning, the couple went all out to create a day full of surprises and special touches that made it unforgettable.
The location was the stunning Peckforton Castle http://www.peckfortoncastle.co.uk/ a majestic and enchanting medieval castle standing proudly in mid Cheshire.
Bride Rachel looked like a princess as her father lead her down to the Great Hall where her Groom and guests awaited her entrance.
Groom Shaun arrived with his Merry Men (sorry, couldnt resist!) Apparently Shaun was dressed in full Robin Hood costume for his stag do :-)
As the ceremony got under way, the first surprise of the day was revealed to the guests. A beautiful Owl swooped down carrying the Wedding Rings, delivering them safely to the best man.
..And it was sealed with a kiss (and a legally binding document of course!)
As guests enjoyed a welcome drink, they were entertained with a falconry display from the castle's on-site team. As for the other picture, well... Bride. Groom. MASSIVE Eagle.
If that wasnt all totally impressive enough, guests were then treated to traditional Ice Cream from a quaint little cart. I had a Toffee Pecan cone. I was forced, honest!
The Castle has a great variety of stunning areas to capture amazing and dramatic images.
During the meal, guests were again surprised with the hilarious, talented, fun and utterly amazing Singing Waiters. I might have shed a tear during their rendition of Nessun Dorma, it was just so impressive. I loved capturing all of the napkin waving, singing and dancing that followed with a rendition of Elvis's 'Cant take my eyes of you' Check out the singing waiters at (www.elegant-entertainment.com)
Of all the Table plans Ive seen, this one impressed me A LOT. It was frozen in ice, really cool. pahahahah
As the evening drew in, I had a chance to try out some funky lighting effects for a last few shots on the lawn. I'd be interested to know what people think as this was a bit of a diversion from my normal style. Gotta love a bit of experimenting!
Congratulations Rachel & Shaun, thank you for allowing me to capture your fairytale day! Im pretty sure I enjoyed the day as much as you did!! Wonderful
